- Are you stuck as a Lightworker?
-
Are you Hiding? Afraid of Being Seen for who you are?
- Are you playing it Small?
- Feeling unworthy of your Message being important?
- Still struggling with Scarcity/Poverty themes?
- Procrastinate around decisions?
- Feel like you’re taking one step forward and two steps back?
If you are a budding Healer, Creator, Coach, Artist, or any other intrepid heart centred entrepreneur, you will know that stepping up to your life's purpose is exhilarating yet no easy feat.
By now you have been exploring your Path, Purpose and Journey.
There are challenges and hurdles that will present themselves in any endeavour, and sensitive souls have a unique journey.
There is a huge element to stepping up as a Lightworker that many do not really speak about. This is what I experienced as I was embarking on my journey and what I have found to be the main core themes that sensitive souls face…
Self Sabotage
The issue with the elements listed at the top of this page is that these deeper fears, insecurities and programmings will have a direct counter effect to the manifestation of our dreams and desires. In other words, your Lightwork cannot move forward if you are holding yourself back.
What is Self Sabotage?
It’s when you tell yourself you want something yet out of fear and strong resistance you unconsciously find ways to prevent yourself from reaching for it.
We don't always see how we're sabotaging ourselves because the self-sabotage is actually emerging from a deeper unconscious desire to limit ourselves.
How does it show up?
We actually attract situations and circumstances that seem outside of us (flat tire, getting ill, some kind of emergency etc). Or we distract ourselves with multiple projects & ideas (procrastination). We get lost in admin rather than carrying out our work. We see others as being successful so ask: what's the point in me trying? We are offered beautiful opportunities to take our work further into the world and recoil, creating excuses or ways to not Show up.
Here's a practical example: You want to run a workshop and even though on the outside you may be doing what is necessary to organise this, you keep having headaches which prevent you from finalising it and eventually you give up, saying to yourself that you just can’t do it due to the headaches. Or you may even believe it’s not ‘meant to be’ because it seems so difficult and doesn’t feel it’s in flow. Perhaps it could be true if this occurred once, yet if it keeps manifesting then there is a cycle here reflecting the conflict between your Desires and your Fears.
Why do we do this?
Why would you ever want to limit yourself or create more suffering?
Well these unconscious ideas come from conditioning. They come from our upbringing and environment.
They emerge from deeper feelings of unworthiness, past life themes of 'being seen' (persecution, specifically around expressing spiritual themes), 'fear of being egotistical', 'playing it small' (excessive humility). And these themes don't just play out in our work, they emerge across all of our relationships and interactions.
What I realised along the journey was that a lot of the advice from ‘successful’ people was to be more like them. Which makes sense, it is what made them successful. So I tried to emulate it, and I found so many others who tried to as well. And it didn’t work for us. It took me a long time to realise that it wasn’t because there was something wrong with me, it was because I was different to these individuals.
As a Sensitive Soul, there is a different learning curve and one that involves embracing and integrating Power, Expression, Healing one's relationship with Money / Exchange, Moving beyond Comfort Zones.
